The European Roma Grassroots Organisations (ERGO) Network is a Brussels-based network of local and national NGOs across Europe.
ERGO Network aims for Roma to achieve equality, social and political participation in all spheres of life and in all European societies, being able to live a decent life, free from antigypsyism, poverty, and social exclusion. ERGO Network’s work relies on civil mobilization and connection of organisations from grassroots level to the national and international levels, aiming to create the courage, capacity, and opportunities to combat antigypsyism and Roma poverty, strengthen Roma civil society participation in decision-making and getting governments and European institutions to commit to effective social inclusion and anti-discrimination policies, standards, and funding for Roma.
Romanonet is a coalition of pro-Roma and Roma-led non-governmental organizations based in the Czech Republic, established in February 2017. Its mission is to promote integration policies that emphasize human rights, equality,
and the active participation of Roma individuals in public life and decision-making processes.
Romanonet actively engages in advocacy and humanitarian efforts, particularly focusing
on the rights and welfare of Roma communities.
The Federación de Asociaciones Gitanas de Cataluña (FAGiC), established in 1991, is the most representative Roma organization in Catalonia, uniting 96 local Roma associations. Based in Barcelona, its mission is to defend and promote the rights, culture, and inclusion of the Roma community within Catalan society. FAGiC operates across various domains, including youth empowerment, cultural promotion, advocacy and antigypsyism, with initiatives spanning local, national, and European levels.
The Autonomia Foundation, established in 1990 in Hungary, is an independent organization dedicated to fostering civil society and promoting the social inclusion of marginalized communities, particularly the Roma. By collaborating with both Roma and non-Roma civil organizations, Autonomia supports initiatives that mobilize local resources to achieve community goals. Their work encompasses development projects, training, and research, aiming to enhance the effectiveness of governmental and European programs targeting labor market improvements for disadvantaged groups.
Integro Association, established in 2002 and based in Razgrad, Bulgary, is a Roma-led non-profit organization dedicated to promoting equality, civic participation, and social inclusion for Roma communities across the country. Its mission focuses on empowering Roma individuals, fostering active citizenship, and ensuring adequate representation at all decision-making levels. Integro collaborates with local authorities and national institutions to combat antigypsyism and address social exclusion, particularly through initiatives targeting youth and women.
Nevoparudimos Association, established in 2008 in Reșița, Romania, is an independent, non-governmental organization committed to reducing economic, social, and educational disparities, with a particular focus on Roma communities. The association emphasizes youth empowerment, viewing young people as key agents of change. It conducts a range of activities at local, national, and international levels, including non-formal education, volunteer programs, and initiatives aimed at preventing school dropout among Roma youth.
